2022 Priorities and Events Program

Our members recently completed a survey about what policy priorities they felt the Committee for Adelaide should focus on in 2022.

Based on their input, we are excited to release our policy and events program for the first half of 2022.

During 2022, our policy program will focus on the following priorities:

  • Addressing the skills shortage and increasing our local pipeline of talent
  • Improving Adelaide’s brand and positioning nationally and internationally
  • Attracting capital to improve the financial ecosystem and underpin start-ups and businesses scaling up

Later in the year we will also be looking at the additional policy priorities that members identified for action, including championing quality integrated infrastructure for future population growth and accelerating growth of leading energy solutions to achieve net zero ambitions.

We’ll be convening policy focus groups based on the above priorities that will identify solutions and deliver tangible outcomes to address the challenges identified by members. The final recommendations from our policy focus groups will help form the foundations for our advocacy throughout 2022.

Stay tuned in the new year for more information about these groups and how you can get involved.

Another priority for 2022 will be to continue to grow our Adelaide Connected program, aimed at connecting skilled migrants and expats moving to South Australia. Our networking events continue to attract a community of enthusiastic likeminded people eager to network and connect with industry. We also have a strong focus to build our ties with our sister cities to promote Adelaide Connected internationally. We encourage you to listen to and share our Podcast series ‘Adelaide Connected‘ featuring talented individuals and start-ups who share their journeys of moving (back) to South Australia and how we can attract more key talent like them.

Currently, our 2022 events program will include:
February/March

  • Boardroom leaders’ lunch series with Federal Ministers
  • Expert panel followed by member networking event
  • Adelaide Connected networking event

April/May

  • Expert panel followed by member networking event
  • Adelaide Connected networking event

We will keep you updated on our calendar of events as we add to it throughout the year. We will also put news of upcoming events and policy focus groups on our new website once launched in the new year.

With 2022 shaping up to be a pivotal year for South Australia, we look forward to your participation in our activities throughout the year.
