On 24 August 2026, Committee for Adelaide Chair Raymond Spencer and Chief Executive Sam Dighton met with Lord Spellar during his visit to Adelaide to discuss opportunities to further strengthen South Australia’s relationship with the United Kingdom.

In August, Committee for Adelaide Chief Executive Sam Dighton joined fellow city leaders in Canberra to advocate for a stronger national urban agenda and ensure the priorities of Australia’s capital cities are heard at the federal level.
