We are delighted to announce that we have secured the services of Sam Dighton as the new CEO of the Committee for Adelaide.
We were determined to find someone who not only had leadership qualities and a passion for Adelaide and South Australia, but also was able to bring an international perspective based on overseas experience. And we have certainly found that in Sam.
Sam may be familiar to many members. He was most recently the Group Executive Commercial across a six-year stint with ElectraNet, and he has senior experience at Renewal SA and as a councillor with the South Australian Chamber of Mines & Energy.
He also spent more than 10 years working in the UK where he worked in the London Office of the Agent General for South Australia and was a partner with top 100 law firm Winckworth Sherwood.
He brings cross-sector business acumen, outstanding interpersonal skills and a drive for the discussion of big ideas.
I would also like to thank Deputy Chair Alicia Genet who has done a great job steering the organisation while we undertook the CEO search.
Sam will officially start in the role on 14 March and I am sure all members will join me in making him welcome at our upcoming events.
