In partnership with the University of Adelaide, this exclusive boardroom lunch saw our emerging leaders from our our Platinum member organisations hear from Flavia Tata Nardini, Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Fleet Space Technologies.

Flavia shared insights from her impressive career to date including her childhood passion for space, her work with the European Space Agency and her role as CEO and Co-Founder of Fleet Space, which is positioning South Australia at the forefront of space innovation.

She spoke candidly about the highs and lows of establishing a start-up, including the importance of perseverance, balancing competing priorities, and embracing setbacks and failure. She also shared the work and lifestyle benefits of operating a global company from Adelaide, highlighting the size and ability to connect across industry and government as South Australia’s “super-power”.

Flavia also recounted the impact playing competitive sport has had on her career, teaching resilience, hard work and discipline from a young age, and her ritual of getting 10-hours a sleep a night, often using her body clock as an indicator for how her business is tracking.
