New member – Yalari

Welcoming new member Yalari as an Associate member of the Committee for Adelaide, as nominated by Platinum member Codan.

Since 2005, Yalari has been providing Indigenous children from regional and remote communities across Australia the opportunity to receive a full boarding school scholarship for their entire secondary education. They believe education is the key to generational change and a brighter future for Indigenous Australians and for our nation. They are deeply committed to the ongoing success of their national program of scholarships, student support and post-school opportunities. In 2025, they have 251 students on Yalari scholarships nationally. They also have a group of almost 600 alumni studying at universities, working or undertaking further training.

“Yalari has a clear focus; educational equity for Indigenous children from regional and remote Australia. Due to the support of sponsors, schools and families, our alumni represent one of the largest networks of educated and connected Indigenous leaders in this country. We are so grateful to all those that share our vision and are working with us to change not just individual lives, but families and the wider Australian community for generations to come.” Waverley Stanley AM, Founding Director, Yalari.
