On 31 July 2026 as part of Adelaide Climate Action Week, the Committee for Adelaide’s SA ZERO program, in partnership with In/pact Collective, brought together sustainability leaders from across South Australia to discuss the progress, challenges and opportunities on the path to a climate-resilient, net-zero future.
A common theme throughout the discussion was that while progress can sometimes feel slower than we’d like, the important thing is that we keep moving forward. The transition to net zero is a long-term journey that requires persistence, collaboration and a willingness to adapt along the way.
Another key takeaway was the importance of communication. Bringing communities, businesses, employees and stakeholders along for the journey is critical to building understanding, maintaining momentum and achieving meaningful change.
Thank you to our facilitator, Sanj de Silva, and panellists Nick Palousis (2XE), Ken Long (Lendlease) and Emily Hendrikx (SA Power Networks) for sharing their insights and experiences.
Together, these conversations help accelerate South Australia’s transition to a more sustainable future.
