On 4 August 2026, we were pleased to welcome The Hon. Nadia Clancy MP, Minister for Small and Family Business and Minister for Multicultural Affairs, for the second instalment of the Committee for Adelaide’s Ministerial Fireside Series, in partnership with MinterEllison.
It was a valuable opportunity for our members to hear directly from the Minister on the opportunities and challenges facing South Australia’s small business sector, the importance of supporting family-owned enterprises, and the role multicultural communities play in driving our state’s economic and social prosperity.
A key theme of the discussion was the Minister’s focus on reducing red tape and making it easier for businesses to operate, grow and innovate. Members appreciated the opportunity to hear how the Government is working to remove barriers for small and family businesses, allowing them to spend less time navigating administration and more time creating jobs and contributing to our economy.
We thank Minister Clancy for her open and engaging discussion, and for sharing her vision for a more business-friendly and inclusive South Australia.
A special thank you to Leah Wright for setting the scene at this event and our series partner, MinterEllison, for supporting these important conversations and helping create meaningful opportunities for dialogue between government, business and community leaders.
Through the Ministerial Fireside Series, we’re continuing to connect our members with decision-makers and foster discussions that contribute to a stronger, more vibrant Adelaide.
