South Australia’s next chapter of growth was the focus of our final Ministerial Fireside conversation for 2026 with the Hon Chris Picton MP, held on 5 November 2026.

As Minister for State Development, Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy, Defence and Space Industries, and Veterans’ Affairs, Minister Picton’s portfolios span many of the sectors shaping our state’s future.

The Minister shared his determination to sustain South Australia’s momentum, highlighting the important role of migration in attracting the skills we need to realise the opportunities ahead. Building the workforce to support growing industries will be essential to turning that potential into lasting economic benefits.
