This week Treasurer Rob Lucas handed down his last budget and front and centre was big spending on health, especially mental health, to increase our state’s capacity to respond to emergencies and better support for people accessing mental health services.
With a strong focus on economic recovery and job creation as we emerge from the global pandemic, substantial funds were directed towards infrastructure, education and schools, plus an additional $200m as part of the Jobs and Economic Growth Fund, to support growth of existing and new industries, part of which could pave the way for a potential hydrogen hub.
