Welcoming the Royal Life Saving South Australia as a Small Enterprise member of the Committee for Adelaide.
Royal Life Saving is Australia’s leading water safety educator – a not for profit charitable organisation, public benevolent institution, and volunteer community service organisation with member organisations in every State and Territory of Australia. Royal Life Saving Society South Australia was founded in 1909 and has served the people of South Australia continuously ever since. They are proud that their reach extends right across the State, serving communities of less than 100 people with the same high-quality, evidence-based training and skills instruction as they offer in metropolitan locations.
They are here to help all South Australians enjoy the water safely through drowning prevention leadership, education, and action. They want to bring a love of swimming and water safety education to more people in the community, especially those who may not otherwise have the opportunity to participate.
“We believe that learning how to be safe in, on and around the water is essential for every South Australian and should be accessible for all communities. Through common shared values with the Committee for Adelaide, we aim to increase the community awareness of water safety education to create resilient communities and empower leadership for sustainable programs,” Jake Culkin, Acting Chief Executive Officer, Royal Life Saving Society – South Australia.
