Back to Business: Prosperity to Productivity

On 27 March 2026 we hosted a thought leadership conversation for our members, Back to Business: Prosperity to Productivity, a timely conversation on South Australia’s economic outlook and the opportunities ahead following the state election.

The discussion explored how business, government and the not-for-profit sector can work together to lift productivity, support innovation and build a resilient, dynamic economy.
A big thank you to our speakers for sharing their valuable insights.

Cherelle Murphy,Regional Chief Economist (Oceania) at EY Australia, opened the conversation with a compelling overview of the current state, structure and trajectory of our economy. She also touched on Australia’s productivity challenge and the way major geopolitical developments are influencing economic conditions, both at work and at home.

We also heard valuable perspectives from Tim White, Chief Financial Officer at RAA, and Alicia Bickmore, Executive General Manager – Corporate and General Counsel at Adelaide Airport Limited, who shared practical examples of how their organisations are responding to these challenges and turning them into opportunities.

Thanks again to our speakers and everyone who joined us for a thoughtful discussion about the future of South Australia’s economy.
