The Business Council of Australia (BCA) has released a national plan to reverse the nation’s productivity slump and put forward big ideas to drive investment and competitiveness.
This document, Seize the moment, outlines a blueprint to strengthen Australia’s existing industries and create new industries and capabilities to diversify our industrial base and integrate into the world’s biggest supply chains.
We know from the release of our Benchmarking Adelaide report that Adelaide’s productivity is nearly 20 per cent below its global peer cities and the share of jobs in high-paid sectors is 10 per cent smaller than its leading counterparts. So we welcome the work that has been done by the BCA in their report.
