Tactical Urbanism – Making it happen

Thank you to all who came to our first face-to-face event since March. It was great to see everyone in person and connect in a more meaningful way.

We welcomed Joanne Carmichael, Sub Regional Lead for Advisory, Planning and Design NSW and ACT at Arup who reflected on Arup’s Tactical Urbanism: Making it happen paper and explored examples of how cities had been responding to COVID from around the world.

We then opened up the discussion to our panel for a local take on things which was led by Josh Fanning, Group Creative Director KWP! and former Publisher of CityMag and also included Jamie Briggs, Adelaide Managing Partner at PwC and former Federal Minister for Cities and the Built Environment, Helen Connolly, Commissioner for Children and Young People and Daniel Osborne, Senior Transport Planner, Arup.

A huge thank you to our hosts, PwC, whose hi-tech function space allowed Joanne to be beamed into the room interstate while seamlessly taking part in discussions in the room.
