The Committee for Adelaide celebrated their end of year event with members and key stakeholders at News Corp.

Our upcoming Emerging Leaders’ Breakfast will feature special guest, Darren Hicks OAM, Australian Paralympic Cyclist.

On 29 November the Adelaide Connected community gathered for our final event of the year.

On 17 November we held an event in partnership with Commercial & General and The Hospital Research Foundation Group on Changing health and patient care through research translation, disruptive technologies and innovation.

We recently held our new member event at Vault91 which was an informal get together for our newest members to connect with the Committee for Adelaide team and fellow new members.

We were proud to partner with Future Energy Week at Tonsley Innovation District in November. This year we were involved in planning a Future Energy Taster for schools with the Department for Education. 

In partnership with Platinum members JLL and SEC Newgate, we took a deeper dive into ESG which has not only become a game changer for many companies, but all organisations and governments globally as the acute need and demand to shift to sustainability accelerates.

Our What is our brand narrative event was held on 25 October in partnership with News Corp Australia. The event brought together key stakeholders to discuss their campaign strategies to attract people to South Australia, from tourism through to investment and attraction to live and work here.

Our Adelaide Connected networking event held on Thursday 13 October saw us head out of the city and into Lumination’s headquarters in Thebarton.

On 14 September, in collaboration with the Department of the Premier and Cabinet and the Department for Industry, Innovation and Science, we invited migrants and international students between the ages of approximately 20 and 40 years, who arrived in Adelaide within the last 5 years, to participate in a Migrant Consultation Session, held at the PwC Australia Skilled Service Hub.

Our Meet the Treasurer event held on 13 September saw Platinum and Corporate members hear from Stephen Mullighan, Treasurer of South Australia, on the great opportunities and Government initiatives for South Australia, while Besa Deda Bank SA Chief Economist provided an overview current on the current state of the Australian economy.

We had the pleasure of partnering with the Australian British Chamber of Commerce on 2 September for their trade and investment lunch with special guest speakers, the Rt Hon Anne-Marie Trevelyan MP, former UK Secretary of State for International Trade, and Senator the Hon Don Farrell, Minister for Trade and Tourism.
