Networking event: Priorities for the year ahead

We were delighted to welcome members to Regattas to start the year together and reflect on the priorities shaping the year ahead for the Committee for Adelaide.

The evening provided an opportunity to share our focus for the year and to reconnect with members as we continue working together to influence the future of Adelaide and South Australia through collaboration, advocacy, and informed leadership.

We were pleased to partner with Flinders Foundation as the official charity partner for the event. Held on the eve of World Cancer Day, the evening also highlighted Flinders Foundation’s Bowel Movement campaign, developed in partnership with Who Gives a Crap and Drakes Supermarkets, which launched the following day. Guests heard about the importance of raising awareness and funds to support cancer care, research, and wellbeing across South Australia, and the power of community-led action in driving better health outcomes.

A highlight of the evening was hearing from Committee for Adelaide Board Member and former Adelaide Fringe CEO Heather Croall, who shared reflections from her time leading one of the world’s largest arts festivals. Heather offered insights into the current state of arts and culture in South Australia, the role creativity plays in shaping vibrant cities, and what to expect as she steps into her new role as Director of Carrick Hill.

Thank you to all who joined us to mark the start of the year. We look forward to continuing these conversations and working closely with our members in the months ahead.
