Since 1964, the Animal Welfare League (AWL) has been bringing together lost and abandoned pets with caring humans to create happy homes where everyone feels loved. AWL has a rich and proud heritage as a haven for abandoned, lost and surrendered cats and dogs.
Today, AWL provides many programs and services across multiple sites, however our core reason for being remains the same; connecting people, pets and community. Their purpose is to improve the health and welfare of animals by encouraging a community that values the human-animal bond, to enrich the lives of people and their pets.
“We are genuinely excited to join as members of the Committee For Adelaide as we’re a proudly and parochial South Australian for purpose organisation. We are looking to continue to grow the Animal Welfare League’s brand across South Australia and connecting with key businesses and networks will help us achieve our ambitious goals. We look forward to immersing ourselves within the network and maximising the opportunity to connect with like-minded organisations to increase our pawprint,” Jodi Walton, AWL Chief Executive Officer.
