Disaster Relief Australia is a veteran-led not-for-profit organisation that unites the skills and experience of military veterans with emergency services specialists to rapidly deploy volunteer disaster relief teams in Australia and around the world in the wake of disasters. Since Disaster Relief Australia was founded in 2016, they have deployed more than 2,500 volunteers on 26 disaster response operations in Australia and around the world. Disaster Relief Australia joined the Committee for Adelaide to increase our reach and networks within government, corporate and defence sectors for the benefit of veterans and communities impacted by disasters.
“With our growing National Support Centre based in Adelaide, the Committee for Adelaide is a great vehicle for further engagement into the corporate sector and to be on top of and involved key policy making decisions that have an impact on the way we can assist disaster affected communities. We are delighted to be accepted as an Associate Member,” Geoff Evans, CEO.
