New member – ElectraNet

Welcoming ElectraNet as a Platinum member of the Committee for Adelaide.

ElectraNet is a world-leading Transmission Network Service Provider (TNSP) enabling the transition to a clean energy future for South Australia.

Today, with the majority of South Australia’s electricity coming from renewable sources, and with a State Government target of 100% net renewable energy by 2027, ElectraNet is leading the world in the clean energy transition – doing things many wouldn’t have thought possible. As the state’s principal electricity Transmission Network Service Provider (TNSP) ElectraNet is the owner and operator of South Australia’s electricity transmission network. ElectraNet plays a critical role in enabling South Australia to be a leader in the global energy transformation, safely transporting energy from local and distant generation sources to power the homes, businesses, and communities of South Australia. ElectraNet also provide system services such as system strength and inertia, to support the growth in renewable energy, and connection services to customers and generators wanting to connect to South Australia’s transmission network. ElectraNet is committed to navigating this transition with customers and stakeholders while maintaining affordable, reliable and sustainable electricity supply.

“ElectraNet plays a key role in South Australia’s world leading approach to the clean energy transition and joining the Committee for Adelaide will help connect us with other organisations looking to promote the State’s competitive advantages to help deliver economic growth and future prosperity,” Chris Hanna, Manager Corporate Affairs.
