Flinders Port Holdings has commenced construction on a new $50 million Outer Harbor Intermodal Precinct, strengthening South Australia’s logistics capability and trade infrastructure.
Situated adjacent to the Flinders Adelaide Container Terminal, the precinct will integrate storage, packing and rail interfaces to support a more efficient containerised supply chain.
The project will be delivered in three stages, beginning with Warehouse 1 for Flinders Warehousing & Distribution, to be constructed by CIP Constructions over the next 12 months.
Future stages will support business growth by enabling customers to secure an on-dock footprint, with scalable warehousing solutions designed to grow alongside their operations.

Codan has awarded Sebastian Cox the Codan Founders’ Scholarship in partnership with Adelaide University.
Established to honour Codan founders Ian Wall, Alastair Wood and Jim Bettison, the scholarship supports a multi-year PhD program embedding research within Codan’s engineering teams, with projects spanning electronic engineering, signal processing, artificial intelligence and geophysics.
Mr Cox will undertake his research at Minelab, a Codan company and global leader in metal detection technology. His project, titled Advanced Microwave Sensor Design for Detection Technologies, will investigate new sensing approaches through sensor prototyping, field data collection and algorithm development alongside Minelab’s engineering team.

Hames Sharley has recently completed Bloom, a new chapter in the Glenside development delivered with client and developer Cedar Woods. The project is designed around a simple idea: that later life should come with more space, more light and more connection, not less. Here, residents aged 55 and over keep their own front door while a wider community sits just beyond it. Rooted in the heritage character of the site and woven into the surrounding parks, Bloom belongs to Glenside rather than sitting apart from it.

The City of Salisbury has launched a new campaign showing the City Centre remains open for business during a $200 million redevelopment.
Six new developments will be built in the heart of Salisbury, including residential housing, car parking, retirement living, hotel accommodation, and retail/commercial spaces.
The campaign highlights some of the people and places that make the City Centre special to locals and visitors alike.
Chief Executive Officer John Harry said there’s fresh food in abundance, plus dining options, shops and services.

Community Business Bureau (CBB) has released ‘Purpose Under Pressure’, new research examining financial wellbeing and salary packaging settings across Australia’s not-for-profit (NFP) sector.
The findings reveal that over half of NFP employees frequently worry about their finances and report feeling more stressed about their financial wellbeing than they were 12 months ago. Encouragingly, nearly three-quarters of employees say that, despite this, they still remain very engaged with their work and wish to remain in the sector.
CBB is sharing the research with NFP leaders through dedicated forums across Australia, helping organisations understand what’s driving financial stress in their teams and how to respond.
