SA ZERO Workshop: Climate Risks, Opportunities & Scenario Analysis

On 9 April 2026, SA ZERO members and invited guests came together to discuss South Australia’s Statewide Climate Change Risk and Opportunity Assessment and to help shape a successful adaptation response.

Together the group helped identify what characterises a successful adaptation response and its enablers and explored the roles of government and industry in leading action in relation to climate risk.

We also discussed the role the SA ZERO cluster can play in supporting the preparation and delivery of the government’s climate risk management and adaptation response.

A big thank you to Mary Anne Healy, Sarah Whitcher, and the team at the Department for Environment & Water for hosting the session and to Dr Mark Lawrence from Adelaide University and Nicole Halsey from URPS for helping to facilitate a great workshop.

SA ZERO is South Australia’s first net zero cluster for public-private-academia collaboration with members including Adelaide University, BHP, the City of Adelaide, the Department for Environment and Water, ElectraNet, Flinders Port Holdings, Flinders University, RAA, SA Power Networks and Uniting Communities.
