As Adelaide is poised to establish itself as a major centre for innovation, entrepreneurship and social enterprise with a national defence spend, emerging industries such as space and developments at Lot Fourteen (the oRAH site), we’re excited to announce an innovation study tour to Canada and the US from 4-18 May 2019.
For more than a year we have been working with the Don Dunstan Foundation on their Thinkers in Residence program and through this work, many of you would have been inspired by Dr Ilse Treurnicht and Allyson Hewitt, both from the renowned MaRS Discovery District in Toronto.
They are expected to return again to Adelaide for the final part of the program in mid-2019 but before they present their final findings, this four-city tour is a unique opportunity to see the programs Ilse and Allyson have talked about in action as well as learn about other innovation precincts and the ecosystems that support them across New York, Boston and Austin.
Click here for the draft program which will be finalised in the coming months.
If you are interested in attending, we would appreciate if you could send us your expression of interest (not a formal commitment) by 1 December.
In the meantime, if you have any questions please feel free to call Jodie van Deventer on 0427 408 588 or contact David Pearson at the Don Dunstan Foundation on 8313 3364.
