Together with Platinum members JLL, Mitsubishi Motors Australia, RAA and Hames Sharley, and supported by the City of Adelaide, the Committee for Adelaide has engaged The Business of Cities to produce the second Benchmarking Adelaide Report, to understand the nature of Adelaide’s performance among a peer group of 20 global cities.
Using publicly available records, long-standing statistical databases and real-time data, the report tracks progress since 2023 and measures Adelaide within a peer group of 20 global cities in five strategic pillars including opportunity, future economy, place and space, people and planet, and reputation.
This report allows us to look at Adelaide as the world currently sees it, and gauges where Adelaide is at against a basket of international cities that resemble Adelaide for size, population, lifestyle and endowment. It groups a wide range of performance measures into 10 pillars to see where the strengths, gaps and prospects are for Adelaide.
Join us as we launch the findings of the 2025 Benchmarking Adelaide Report and see where we have improved or where the opportunities still lie compared to the first Benchmarking Adelaide report developed in 2023.
At the launch, special international guest Dr Tim Moonen, Co-founder and Managing Director of The Business of Cities, will present the report findings, followed by a discussion with representatives from each partner organisation to dissect the report and speak about what the findings mean for Adelaide and how we can use the data to catalyse action.
We would like to thank our Wine Partner Hentley Farm for their ongoing support, as well as our Platinum member, SkyCity Adelaide for hosting this event.
