On 30 July 2026, participants in our Future Leaders Program, delivered in partnership with Adelaide University Learning Futures, came together for the second session of the program, Thinking Strategically in a Disruptive World.

Facilitated by Dr Peter O’Connor, Professor of Strategic Management at Adelaide University, the session explored the challenges leaders face in an era of unprecedented disruption. From rapid technological change and shifting geopolitical landscapes to evolving consumer expectations and emerging competitive threats, participants examined how today’s business environment is challenging traditional approaches to strategic management.

Through interactive discussions and practical examples, the session encouraged participants to view uncertainty and change not as obstacles, but as opportunities for innovation, growth and competitive advantage. Participants were challenged to adopt a more dynamic strategic mindset, enabling them to proactively respond to disruption and position their organisations for long-term success in an increasingly unpredictable world.

As the program continues, participants, exclusively from our Platinum members, are developing the skills, perspectives and confidence needed to lead effectively through complexity and change.
