The Committee for Adelaide in partnership with the Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium of South Australia, will host members for an exclusive Spring Drinks gathering in the beautiful surrounds of the Rose Garden at the Adelaide Botanic Garden.

This special occasion will provide an opportunity to pay tribute to Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC, Governor of South Australia, and celebrate her distinguished service, leadership and enduring contribution to our city and state, as she steps down from her vice-regal role when her five-year term concludes on 6 October 2026.

As Patron of the Committee for Adelaide, Her Excellency has been a valued supporter of our organisation and our shared ambition for a more prosperous, vibrant and connected South Australia.

Her Excellency, together with Mr. Rod Bunten, also serves as Joint Patron of the Friends of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide, reflecting her ongoing commitment to supporting South Australia’s cultural, environmental and community assets.

This gathering will bring members together for an afternoon of connection, conversation and celebration in one of Adelaide’s most treasured settings.
