As part of our ongoing commitment to our members, we strive to deliver on the outcomes of our three key pillars, which we believe is required for Greater Adelaide to fulfil its potential. Therefore, we will continue to advocate for a future ready and thriving economy, talent attraction and retention and an inclusive community and culture.
We recently conducted our Annual Member Survey in collaboration with McGregor Tan to gain a deeper understanding of the priorities that members felt the Committee for Adelaide should focus on in 2023.
Based on member input, we are excited to release our 2023 Policy Priorities for the year ahead and the upcoming events program for February and March.
2023 POLICY PRIORITIES
The Committee for Adelaide will continue its significant focus and advocacy on population growth with a talent attraction and retention lens to ensure that South Australian businesses and industries have the people they need to maintain and expand their operations locally.
We will also continue our important focus on creating a welcoming, inclusive city that embraces culture and diversity. Additional issues to consider will include attracting increased capital investment to support start-ups and businesses scaling up and addressing housing affordability and increasing housing supply.
Grant funding from the Department of the Premier and Cabinet will enable us to continue to grow and enhance our Adelaide Connected program aimed at connecting skilled migrants and expats moving to South Australia. We encourage you to listen to and share Series 2 of our ‘Adelaide Connected’ Podcast, where listeners will gain an insight into the experiences of people who have lived abroad and why they have chosen Adelaide to live and work.
We look forward to engaging with members and key stakeholders on these important priorities in 2023.
