The Committee for Adelaide will host a significant, first-of-its-kind event bringing together former Premiers, Deputy Premiers and Politicians’ of South Australia for a special conversation reflecting on leadership, democracy and the future of our State.
This luncheon forms part of the Committee for Adelaide’s 2026 Democracy Series, delivered in partnership with Flinders University, The Jeff Bleich Centre for Democracy and Disruptive Technologies, and Major event Partner Hays.
The discussion will examine the changing geopolitical landscape, the growing focus on public integrity, and the priorities that will shape South Australia’s future.
It will also provide a rare opportunity for reflection, with past leaders sharing what they are most proud of during their time in office, the lessons they learnt about leadership and democracy, and the challenges and opportunities they see ahead for South Australia.
During this event, we will hear from:
- The Hon. Mike Rann AC CNZM, South Australian Premier (2002–2011)
- The Hon. Vickie Chapman, South Australian Deputy Premier (2018–2021)
- The Hon. Dr. Susan Close, South Australian Deputy Premier (2022-2025)
With additional speakers and event partners to be announced soon.
This event proudly supports Hutt St Centre as the official charity partner, recognising their significant contribution to our city and state, and their commitment to ending homelessness.
