Our Boards without Borders project encourages and supports Boards and Executive Teams with South Australian connections to meet in Adelaide. This includes engaging with Boards already meeting in South Australia as well as encouraging new Boards to meet in Adelaide.
As well as promoting Adelaide as an attractive business investment destination and helping create new business opportunities, the program is also helping change the narrative around Adelaide, ensuring Boards leave with a positive and lasting impression of our city.
This program is driven by our members and our Business Attraction Group is chaired by two leading business people: Matt Clemow of Capetal and Ian Smith of Bespoke Approach.
What we can offer visiting Boards
While we don’t finance these visits, we can do a lot of the ground work to make the visit as successful as possible and use our connections to give Boards and Executive Teams experiences they may not otherwise have.
An example of the program in action
The national Board and Executive Team of an interstate headquartered company is coming to Adelaide and the local office would like to capitalise on emerging defence opportunities. To do this, they need to convince the national team to invest in defence procurement. To help, we’re organising a speaker to talk about the State economic value of defence, a tour of a defence facility and a speaker on defence procurement as well as helping with venue suggestions and touring options.
