As part of our Adelaide Connected program, we brought together HR and recruitment professionals from our membership for an exclusive roundtable, focused on workforce talent and skilled migration needs across the local economy, including opportunities, gaps and challenges.

Together with Benchmarking Adelaide partners JLL, Mitsubishi Motors Australia, RAA, Hames Sharley, Adelaide Economic Development Agency and City of Adelaide, we launched our second Benchmarking Report in front of members and stakeholders on 30 April at Skycity. 

In partnership with Platinum member SkyCity Adelaide, the Committee for Adelaide hosted a Leaders’ Boardroom Lunch with Senator the Hon Don Farrell, Minister for Trade and Tourism.

Our Emerging Leaders session held on 8 April saw Professor Edward Palmer and Dr Daniel Lee from the School of Education, The University of Adelaide facilitate a discussion on ‘Strategic & Ethical AI for Leaders’.

The Committee for Adelaide, in partnership with the University of Adelaide, were delighted to host international thought-leader, academic, author and advisor, Professor Göran Roos on 3 April 2025 for a stimulating roundtable discussion on macroeconomics, decarbonisation, innovation and defence.

Our first Adelaide Connected Industry Briefing & Networking Event for the year was held on Wednesday 2 April 2025 and focussed on opportunities in the engineering and construction sectors.

We joined forces with the Committees for Capital Cities (Committee for Sydney, Committee for Brisbane, Committee for Melbourne, Committee for Greater Hobart and Committee for Perth) for an exclusive online discussion which unpacked the key players, battleground electorates and likely scenarios for Australia’s next federal government.

We were lucky enough to host Platinum and Corporate members at the Adelaide Oval, in partnership with Platinum member the Adelaide Football Club, for an insightful and exciting afternoon where we delved into their Thebarton Oval Redevelopment.

In 2025 the Committee for Adelaide will set out to facilitate a series of 'Insight Roundtables'. Our first focus area was ‘Fostering Innovation & Risk Taking’ - an issue that is critical to boosting productivity and unlocking the economic complexity and investment potential of South Australia and requires cooperative effort across all sectors. 

The first session ‘Futures Thinking, Disruption and Innovation’ of our new and reimagined 2025 Emerging Leaders ‘Future Series was held on Tuesday 4 March, delivered in close partnership with the University of Adelaide and Professional and Continuing Education (PACE).
